Season Closer/ Double Header LRD vs CCR - Home - 20/10/2012
The final home bout of the season for Leeds Roller Dolls and our last at Huddersfield Sports Centre before we move to a new home at the Futsal Arena in Leeds.
We had two incredibly exciting bouts...
First up, Leeds Roller Dolls' Whip-Its will meet Central City Rollergirls' Slay Belles on track for the first time. Both teams are in Division Two of the Euro Derby rankings; the Whip-Its will be fresh from their first overseas bout in Helsinki. We reckon this one will be a nail-biter!
The second bout of the day will be Leeds Roller Dolls' Rebel Roses facing up against Central City Rollergirls' Centrinnians. The last time they met, CCR were victorious, but LRD have had a strong season, starting with an impressive score against London Roller Girls' Brawl Saints.
Whip-Its v Helsinki - Away - 08/09/2012
The Whip-Its travelled to Helsinki for a re-match against Helsinki Roller Derby's All Stars.

Instead the Whip-Its travelled west along the M62 to take on Liverpool's finest the Liverpool Roller Birds, the second time these two teams have met on the track, and after a very close first half, seeing the Liverpool Roller Birds ahead by one point at half time, the Whip-Its pulled it back and came out with a win with a score of LRB 84 - 111 LRD Whip-Its.
LRD Rebel Roses v London Rockin' Rollers Allstars - Home - 16/06/12
Leeds Roller Dolls first travel team - The Rebel Roses - faced up to the London Rockin' Rollers Allstars on June 16th.
London Rockin' Rollers, like LRD were established in 2007, and played in Europe's first inter-league roller derby bout in the same year, shortly followed by the UK's first bout! The Allstars have skaters that have represented Team England and Team Sweden in the 2011 roller derby World cup, and can certainly be counted as one of UK Roller Derby's pedigree teams.
This was not be the first time Leeds Roller Dolls have publicly faced up to London Rockin' Rollers.. the first time at home in 2010, was a close fought battle, and then away in 2011, which saw LRR win both times.
To warm you up, Leeds Roller Dolls hosted a Derby-taunt bout with fresh upcoming skaters from mixed leagues. There was plenty of fresh talent from skaters all over the UK.

Remember that infamous bout against Glasgow's Irn Bruisers that resulted in not one but two overtime jams last season?? Well this was a rematch, both teams have changed, but the Derby tension remained high, with another nail-biting bout, complete with time-outs, and power jams a plenty. This time Irn Bruisers came out on top. What we know for sure is LRD v GRG is "never dull!"
