Leeds Roller Dolls Accepted onto WFTDA’s* Apprentice Programme and

We might have a few months to go until our first bout of 2012 but the excitement never stops, here at Leeds Roller Dolls. Yesterday, we were proud to see that we are one of 13 new leagues to have been accepted into the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association Apprentice Program.

There are over 80 leagues across the world in the apprentice program and LRD now joins the likes of Glasgow Roller Girls, Helsinki Roller Derby, Stuttgart Valley Roller Girls, Central City Roller Girls, Lincolnshire Bombers Roller Girls and Royal Windsor Roller Girls… all of whom we just happen to be bouting in 2012!

2012 is gonna be our year!

* WFTDA "The Women’s Flat Track Derby Association is a cooperative effort to advance women’s flat track roller derby worldwide. This amazing organization provides guidance, regulations, sisterhood, and the opportunity to compete with the best roller derby athletes in the country.....Women's flat track roller derby leagues interested in joining WFTDA must apply for our Apprentice Program in order to become a member league of WFTDA."
